Ajise Vincent – Emptiness

By  |

Emptiness

Omalicha,

In your absence,

I’m a withering obeche splintered from its root

By rapacious termites.

Come peer at the nucleus of my bough

And see pangs dancing

To the piping of your craving.

I know I deserve not

The waters of your forgiveness

For I have poured the former

Into my porous vacuole of narcissism.

But please give me this chance

To alchemize this wilt,

For only your affection can cure this disease

That continues to plague the nucleus of my chloroplast .

Omalicha – a beautiful woman
